It all started in 1993 in the small village of Lajares, where the Imprenta Factory printed textiles in cooperation with the „Octopus“ boutique. The two founders, Markus Rossknecht and Jan Weber, have been joined by Helga Palmers When the manager of a diving base, Helmut Brittig, came on the island and changed from the sports to the creative business one year later, the factory gained new impetus. Since 1999, Helmut and his wife Helga are the heart of the printery. With a great deal of commitment and risk acceptance, Imprenta Factory has grown bigger. As time went by, Helga and Helmut not only printed designs as given by their customers, but also invented their own label and created their own designs. They thus established „Extreme Animals“ in 2001 and design their own ideas ever since. The factory has been divided into a production unit and the Extreme Animals Shop unit. On 100m² of space, fancy T-shirts are designed, produced and sold right away.
In 1993, water-based colours have been used, and the clothes have been irond by hand in order to fix the colours. This was a fairly time-consuming procedure. Imprenta Factory loves to fulfill special customer-wishes. Designs drafted by customers are being dealt with, and litographs are produced. With the help of these, the customer’s drafts are exposed on the screen, and the T-shirt can be printed on according to the customer’s wishes. The customers appreciate the fact, that Extreme Animals T-shirts are generally delivered in a 190 gr/m² quality. The sturdy Extreme Animals T-shirts are thus designed to allow the people wearing them can move freely and do extreme exercises, and enjoy their T-shirts even after many cycles of washing programmes.
